APT is today participating in a court hearing challenging the Federal Government’s order that all foreign-flagged cruise ships leave Australian waters “as soon as reasonably practicable”.
APT’s 114-passenger Bahamas-flagged Caledonian Sky is currently sitting in Darwin Harbour, and the company has asked that it be exempted; however a Federal Court judge has warned that such a ruling would potentially impact all foreign cruise vessels in Australian territory.
A formal hearing was scheduled for noon today.
