HAWAIIAN Airlines has downgraded its revenue expectations for the Jun quarter as the eruption of the Mt Kilauea volcano takes a toll on the carrier’s passenger levels.
The airline had previously indicated revenue per available seat mile in the three months to 30 Jun would be steady or narrowly up on the same period last year.
It now says revenue is likely to be down 0.5% to 1.5%, mainly due to a decline in domestic bookings blamed on the recent rise in volcanic activity.
