SQ 787-10 Perth unveiling

SINGAPORE Airlines today begins promoting its new medium-haul Business class product in Perth ahead of its launch of the new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner on flights from the WA capital next month.

The airline’s regional vp Philip Goh today confirmed the 787-10 would begin Perth services on 07 May (TD 23 Feb), arriving as SQ223 at 14:40 and departing for Singapore at 17:10 as SQ214.

As the launch carrier for the -10, Singapore Airlines today began showcasing its new Business class cabin products at Perth’s ENEX mall, giving the public a chance to try out its 76″ fully-flat bed and ergonomic design.

Its 787-10s are configured with 337 seats in two classes, with 36 Business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout and 301 Economy class seats in a 3-3-3 layout.

“This will begin another exciting chapter in our longstanding history of serving Perth as we will be the first airline to operate the Boeing 787-10 to Perth and to Australia,” said Goh.

“It is apt that Perth should be the launch destination for this new aircraft as it was our first destination in Australia 51 years ago and remains an important part of our global network.”
