TD breaking news – Armstrong named Australasian head of Silversea Cruises

Royal Caribbean chief to take helm in August.

Royal Caribbean’s Australasian head Adam Armstrong will jump ship to lead Silversea Cruises in Aug, having been appointed managing director Australia & New Zealand.

The move was confirmed by Silversea this morning, ending speculation about Armstrong’s future after his surprise announcement in Feb that he was stepping down from his current role as associate vice president & managing director Australia & New Zealand for Royal Caribbean (TD 27 Feb).

He will take over from Amber Wilson who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

“Adam is a terrific addition to Silversea,” said Silversea Cruises ceo Roberto Martinoli.

“His experience and achievements in the Australian and New Zealand cruise markets will support our ambitious plans for growth and develop closer relationships with our travel agent partners,” he said.
