Rejig will see 747 cease operating to Los Angeles.
Qantas has just announced a number of adjustments to its international network, to better utilise its fleet as well as respond to changing customer demands.
Changes to US routes include the removal of Boeing 747 flights into Los Angeles from 03 December 2018, which will be replaced by a combination of Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft. From 17 December Qantas will also operate an additional Sydney-San Francisco 747 flight making this route a daily operation, while effective 04 February 2019 Sydney-Dallas Fort Worth will reduce to six times weekly using an A380.
In Asia Qantas will add a fourth weekly Sydney-Osaka flight from 07 December, as well as boosting Sydney-Manila to daily from 28 October. From the same date Sydney-Beijing will reduce to five times per week, removing flights on lower demand days of Tuesday and Thursday.
Qantas said tickets for the new services would be available progressively from today, with customers already booked on flights impacted by changes to be reaccommodated on other services.
