Since launching its first flight from Birmingham in 1985, Air France has played a vital role in linking the West Midlands to Paris and beyond. Today, Air France offers access to the French capital along with onward connectivity to over 180 destinations across the wider Air France worldwide network. When combined with the network of KLM and Transavia, Air France customers flying from Birmingham can reach over 320 destinations across the globe.

Data from the last 12 months show that Birmingham Airport has experienced robust demand for international travel, with Air France and KLM transporting more than 656,000 passengers through the airport, be it for business, leisure, or to visit friends and relatives.

  • Germany, Italy, Nigeria, the United States and South Africatop the list of most visited countries by Air France and KLM customers flying from Birmingham.
  • The range of the top visiting countries, which includes Canada, China, Denmark, Sweden and the United States, showcases the contribution of both airlines to the local economy and inbound tourism.
