Radisson Hotel Group announced the signing of Radisson Hotel & Suites Bay of Lights Sihanoukville earlier today, 23rd September.

The new signing marks an exciting addition to Radisson’s expanding portfolio in Cambodia.

Expected to open in early 2029, the newly built 176-key hotel will be located within the Gateway District, the first phase of the Bay of Lights, a visionary mixed-use township on Cambodia’s southern coast.

Radisson Hotel Group has secured a prime location for the development in the heart of Bay of Lights: the Bay of Lights International Convention Center (BICC) district.

By doing so, the hotel management company secures rare advantages at the project’s early stage of development.

According to Radisson Hotel Group’s chief development officer in the Asia-Pacific Ramzy Fenianos: “Sihanoukville is a hidden gem of Southeast Asia, offering a unique blend of coastal beauty and fast-growing economic opportunities. The signing of Radisson Hotel & Suites Sihanoukville underlines our commitment to expanding in Cambodia’s key destinations, complementing our pipeline in Phnom Penh.”

Radisson Hotel Group already has two hotels under development in the Cambodian capital: Radisson Blu Phnom Penh (160 keys) and Radisson RED Phnom Penh (200 keys), both scheduled to open in 2027.

The addition of Radisson Hotel & Suites Sihanoukville will further strengthen the Group’s upcoming presence in Cambodia and its commitment to the Southeast Asia Pacific region.

A highly anticipated development

The new hotel will feature a mix of well-appointed rooms and serviced apartments, most with panoramic ocean views, along with three dining outlets, a rooftop pool, spa, and fitness center.

Ideally located just a 5-minute walk from a private beach and adjacent to the city’s CBD, the property will cater to both business and leisure travelers.

It is within a 25-minute drive of Sihanoukville International Airport and 20 minutes from Serendipity Pier, the gateway to Cambodia’s pristine islands.

Surrounded by high-end amenities such as premium outlets, duty-free shopping, and a golf course, the hotel is poised to benefit from infrastructure upgrade: the government’s planned relocation of the administrative center in 2026, the expansion of the Sihanoukville Airport, and the operational Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway.

Complementing this, it is projected that conventions, events and leisure facilities are to attract 650,000 visitors annually.

Backed by the policy edge of Ream City, industrial support from Bay of Lights, and foot traffic generated by BICC, the Radisson hotel is well-positioned to meet high-end hospitality demand, ensuring strong occupancy and stable returns.
