This festive season, Devasom Khao Lak Beach Resort continues its heartfelt commitment to community engagement with the return of the Devasom Happy Bus, bringing holiday magic, joy and meaningful connections to Phang Nga School For Life.
Marking its third consecutive year in 2025, the initiative reflects Devasom’s belief that happiness is most powerful when shared.
The visit is scheduled for Tuesday, 23rd December, when the Devasom Happy Bus arrives at Phang Nga to celebrate the season with 69 young students who may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience a traditional Christmas celebration.
Together with resort guests, team members and local partners from the Khao Lak community, Devasom aims to create cherished festive memories filled with warmth, laughter and togetherness.
As the Happy Bus embarks on its third annual journey, Devasom Khao Lak once again demonstrates that the true spirit of the season lies not in celebration alone, but in creating happiness that is shared, heartfelt and enduring.
Festive fun for the young
True to its playful spirit, the Happy Bus will deliver festive surprises and interactive entertainment under this year’s theme Nature Explorer.
Children will be welcomed by Santa Claus and space-inspired cartoon characters, followed by a joyful programme of activities including a magic show, fresh popcorn, cotton candy and cookies.
The day is designed not only to entertain, but to foster connection and shared moments between the children, their teachers and the wider community.
Devasom Resorts co-founder and Devasom Khao Lak general manager Is Atirak said of the initiative: “Giving back to the local community has always been one of our key sustainability pillars at Devasom. The Happy Bus is one of our most meaningful traditions. Seeing the children’s smiles and sharing time with them reminds us that simple moments of joy can leave a lasting impact.”
Safe haven
Phang Nga School For Life provides a safe, nurturing home and education for disadvantaged and orphaned children in Thailand.
Operating under a family-style structure led by dedicated mentors, the school supports students through junior high school, empowering them with education, care and values to become confident and contributing members of society.
Beyond spreading festive cheer, the Devasom Happy Bus initiative also aims to strengthen community bonds in Khao Lak by inviting local partners to participate in the spirit of collaboration and generosity.
By coming together each year, Devasom and its partners reaffirm their shared belief that community connection, compassion and joy are essential foundations for sustainable tourism and meaningful social impact.
