New solution purpose-built for small, repeatable in-person events empowers event and field marketing teams to scale their programs with speed, consistency, and control. Built through extensive feedback and early adopter testing, Cvent Essentials is already driving measurable results—and transforming how teams execute high-volume in-person experiences

Cvent announced the general availability of Cvent Essentials, its newest product designed for managing high-volume, simple in-person events. Now available to all Cvent customers, the solution simplifies the planning and execution of smaller, frequent gatherings—like field marketing activations, internal meetings, client trainings, and executive networking experiences—without the complexity or cost of traditional event management tools. The solution is purpose-built to help tenured event professionals set clear guidelines and easy-to-use event templates that anyone within their organisation can leverage to plan, market, and execute smaller events with minimal oversight or hands-on support.

“Cvent Essentials was built for the often overlooked, but critically important, category of smaller events,” said McNeel Keenan, Vice President of Product Management at Cvent. “It helps teams say ‘yes’ to more event requests without sacrificing brand consistency or data visibility. For many organisations, that means freeing up valuable time and resources to focus on flagship experiences—like annual conferences or major customer events—while still maintaining control and capturing impact from the hundreds of smaller, high-frequency events that often fly under the radar. With Essentials, every event—no matter the size—gets the attention and structure it deserves.”

Cvent Essentials has already been described by early adopters as a “revolutionary” advancement in their event programs. The tool emerged from a rigorous beta program that included hundreds of users across diverse industries and organisation size.

Key Capabilities of Cvent Essentials:

  • Radically Simplified Event Creation: Launch on-brand, compliant events in minutes using admin-approved templates—no design or development resources needed.
  • Streamlined Registration & Onsite Experience: Single-page online registration, along with walk-in registration and check-in via the Cvent OnArrival app to eliminate paper sign in sheets and provide valuable insights from reliable attendance data.
  • Built-in Engagement Tools: Live polling, Q&A, and post-event surveys help boost engagement in the room and capture meaningful insights.
  • Real-Time Data & Integrations: Native integration with critical MarTech platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot ensures timely data capture and stronger event ROI tracking.
  • Empowered, Distributed Teams: Unlimited Essentials-only users enable teams across the business to self-manage events within the guardrails defined by admins. Admins leverage a powerful templating system to maintain centralized governance of data collection, data privacy, security, and event design.

Responding to Industry Needs

Recent industry data shows 58% of organizations plan to increase their volume of small, in-person events in 2025–2026. Yet many teams are constrained by manual workflows, lack of visibility, and inconsistent execution. Cvent Essentials was purpose-built to overcome these challenges, allowing marketers to scale quickly without sacrificing quality or control.

What Customers Are Saying

“The simplicity of Cvent Essentials is unparalleled. This product is revolutionary.”
—Event Manager

“The events we host are up 40% over last year, but we don’t want to turn these engagement opportunities away. We need to redirect some of the events that are coming into our team and alleviate some of that work. Cvent Essentials is critical for that.”

Donavanik: Thai hospitality continues to hold sway in a changing world

The post Donavanik: Thai hospitality continues to hold sway in a changing world appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

Dusit International’s vice-chairman and executive committee chairman Chanin Donavanik shared his thoughts regarding how his company continues to stay relevant in the rapidly evolving field of global hospitality.

The hospitality mogul sat down for a keynote session with Hoftel chairman Simon Allison earlier today, 23rd June, at the South East Asia Hotel Investors’ Summit (SEAHIS) at Dusit Thani Bangkok.

As the session began, Donavanik said: “One of the most unique things about Thailand for us is that the feedback about us is very positive anywhere we go in the world. In fact, the good thing about Thailand is that, in terms of hospitality, we don’t have any issues.”

Keeping a Thai sensibility

Donavanik further pointed out that Dusit International has made it a point to retain a certain modicum of Thai charm and tradition in its properties on a global scale.

He cited some recent property developments in Japan to illustrate his point.

As he put it: “Our team opened two hotels in Japan around 18 months ago. While they featured Japanese architecture and interior design, we also added a touch of Thai interior design.”

Donavanik further pointed out that Dusit has long been considered a Thai-focused hospitality company.

He said: “Not a lot of hotels can say that, so I’d like to think that, as a hospitality company, we understand who we are. I hope our team will continue to do that.”

Coping with evolving demographics

During the course of the session, Allison pointed out the recent trend of travellers being considerably younger these days.

He raised a key point as to whether Dusit International will make adjustments to cater for younger guests or if the matter will be one for sub-brands like Dusit Princess or dusit d2 to get into.

Donavanik pointed out that the recently revitalised Dusit Thani Bangkok would serve as a good case study for this.

He explained: “I remember when we first launched the hotel: some of the families I knew wanted their children to get married at the Dusit Thani like they’d been. The children, however, would say that they weren’t sure if they wanted to go with Dusit Thani because, at the time, our hotel was old-fashioned.”

But following the hotel’s extensive refurbishment, younger customers have expressed greater interest in it.

As Donavanik puts it: “I think that, for any good property, it needs to be one that even younger guests can enjoy. They don’t have to come to us everyday, but they can come whenever they wish. In fact, I hope that we will continue to draw all kinds of people to our hotels.’

Additionally, the Maharaja built the city’s stunning Albert Hall as a tribute to the regal couple.

This year’s South East Asia Hotel Investors’ Summit (SEAHIS) opened at the Dust Thani Bangkok today, 23rd June.

Organised by industry association Hoftel, this year’s event brought together key players in the regional hospitality sector who came to hear insights from more than 110 speakers in attendance.

On top of the way the sector has coped in the years following the pandemic, the event will also feature industrial forecasts, as well as points to consider in light of recent geopolitical events.

Coping with current issues

In his introduction to the event, Hoftel chair Simon Allison remarked, “We see strong regional growth tinged with geopolitical instability and uncertainty., the immediate impact of tariffs and longer term fears about international conflict.”

Allison added that the hospitality sector in the region is currently seeing a gradual shift from standard management contracts towards franchise agreements.

Likewise, Asia in general is beginning to move towards white label third-party operators (TPOs), as well as the practical application of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), particularly in hospitality sales and marketing.

Indeed, Allison frankly declared: “Our sector never stops developing.”

Attendees for this year came mostly from neighbouring Southeast Asian nations, but also included professionals from Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Into East Asia

This year’s SEAHIS also saw the introduction of Hoftel’s newest event: the first-ever Japan and North East Asia Hotel Investors’ Summit (JHIS).

Allison said of the upcoming summit: “Anyone with an interest in investing in Japan or, indeed, South Korea and Taiwan, will find JHIS worth the wait.”

Thailand is redefining the remote work experience with the launch of the ‘LOCO(AL) Working Space’ campaign, inviting digital nomads, remote professionals, and creative minds to immerse themselves in authentic Thai communities while maintaining global connectivity.

Supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, this initiative transforms traditional work environments by offering unique “SPACE TONES” that blend emotional value with local authenticity. Whether it’s the serene mountains of Chiang Mai, the cultural alleys of Bangkok, or the tranquil islands of Phuket, Thailand presents curated environments that foster productivity, inspiration, and well-being.

Naka Yai Island, Phuket

Chiang Mai: Valley Space

Nestled in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai offers a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, making it a haven for digital nomads. Beyond the city’s vibrant co-working spaces and artisan markets, remote workers can retreat to peaceful mountain communities such as:

  • Mae Klang Luang: a serene village nestled in the Doi Inthanon National Park, it offers a peaceful retreat where visitors can immerse themselves in the simplicity of rural Thai life. The village is famous for its lush terraced rice fields, vibrant flower gardens, cool climate, and the home of Karen tribe.
  • Mae Mae: is a lesser-known slice of Chiang Mai, known for its peaceful vibe, lush green hills, authentic local life, and its growing in eco-tourism. It’s all about slow mornings with local coffee, homestays run by families who genuinely care about the land, and walking trails that feel untouched. Mae Mae is hidden gem offering immersive experiences in nature and local traditions
  • Mae Sa Noi: is a quiet, scenic corner of Chiang Mai known for its serene waterfalls, lush forest trails, and local elephant experiences. Unlike tourist-heavy spots, it offers a more natural, intimate vibe and the chance to see elephants bathing in the Mae Sa Noi stream. It’s a favorite for those seeking a relaxation retreat into Chiang Mai’s green heart, where nature feels personal and unfiltered.

In the city, co-working spaces like Alt_ChiangMai and Alt_PingRiver provide fully furnished accommodations and shared amenities, creating environments that seamlessly merge comfort and community.

Bangkok: Classic Space

Thailand’s capital is a dynamic metropolis where history and modernity coexist. In the heart of the city lies Trok Dilokchan, a cultural alleyway that bridges heritage and contemporary lifestyles. Here, digital nomads can explore century-old architecture, enjoy coffee in restored shophouses, and discover co-working spaces filled with character.

Phuket: Island Space

For those dreaming of working with the sound of waves in the background, Phuket offers idyllic island settings:

  • Ko Lon: Ko Lon has a laid-back vibe where you can find quiet beaches, friendly locals, and a slower pace that helps you focus and recharge. The island is known for its crystal-clear waters, stunning coral reefs, and fresh seafood—ideal for unwinding after a productive workday. Ko Lon offers the perfect balance of work and escape; it keeps you productive without feeling plugged in to the chaos of city life.
  • Ko Naka Yai: just a 15-minute boat ride off the east coast from Phuket, known for its secluded location, and glassy bay. The island’s tiny size means you’ll know every hidden cove and cliff-top view by sunset. With no crowds or traffic to slow you down, Ko Naka Yai lets you work at your own pace—then reward yourself with uninterrupted nature, all within steps of your bungalow. Make this tranquil slice of paradise your base for productivity and play.

In Phuket Old Town, colonial architecture meets trendy cafés and art-filled streets, providing remote workers with a colorful, creative space to call home.

The campaign is anchored in the “5 Must Do in Thailand” experience pillars, encouraging nomads to not only work remotely but to truly live locally. From tasting regional dishes and trying age-old crafts to buying community-made goods, exploring nature, and seeking inner peace, each destination invites nomads to craft a personalized lifestyle aligned with their values.
