Climate change is having an impact on the world and the destinations people travel to. Biodiversity, which encapsulates all living things including plants, animals, organisms and the different habitats they live in, is intrinsically linked to travel and tourism.

Over 80% of travel and tourism’s goods and services rely on nature and its biodiversity, meaning that our sector has great potential to support the protection and recovery of biodiversity. This is particularly important as part of the solution to the climate crisis, as plants and trees remove carbon from the atmosphere.

Mark Tanzer, Chief Executive, ABTA stated that:As an industry we need to take action; decarbonisation is one part of the solution, restoring nature and biodiversity is another. To help members understand more about biodiversity and travel we are offering a series of free workshops, exclusively for ABTA members.

Through the workshops, members will learn how to incorporate activities into their sustainability plans that can protect nature, support local communities and regenerate destinations.”

Topics covered in the workshops will include the UN Biodiversity Plan, the new global goals for nature, and the business obligations that are already being implemented through disclosure requirements, like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and regulations like the Green Claims Code.

The workshops are suitable for individuals working across the sector including tour operators and travel agents, and people working in roles such as sustainability, legal, product management, communication and marketing, and supply chain management.

There are five workshops in total, taking place in November and December this year. Members can attend the workshops virtually or in person at ABTA’s office in London.

Jet2CityBreaks has announced the launch of two brand-new destinations for Winter 24/25, with city and Christmas market breaks to Bratislava, as well as festive trips to Malmo available to book now.

The UK’s leading operator of European city breaks has responded to strong demand from UK holidaymakers looking to explore a new city or enjoy a festive getaway this winter, by expanding its network with the launch of Jet2CityBreak packages to Bratislava and Malmo.

The addition of these two new destinations gives customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility for Winter 24/25, as well as the opportunity to enjoy a winter break to two new countries in the Jet2 network – Sweden and Slovakia.

City break packages have gone on sale to Bratislava from 18th October 2024 until 19th May 2025. Flights will operate to Vienna Airport, with twice weekly services (Monday and Friday) available from Manchester and Birmingham Airports. After flying into Vienna Airport and taking a quick hop over the border, customers will have the bright lights of Bratislava to explore as they wish.

On top of this, customers looking to enjoy a festive getaway in the countdown to Christmas can book a Christmas market trip to Bratislava in November and December 2024 from nine UK airports. Additional services will operate to Vienna for the Christmas markets period, meaning customers will be able to book a festive trip to Bratislava from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.

Customers travelling to Bratislava via Vienna Airport with Jet2CityBreaks will be able to choose from a selection of 4-star hotels located in the heart of the city, giving them the chance to explore all that this charming destination has to offer.

Considered a hidden gem, Bratislava is nestled along the Danube River, bordered by Austria and Hungary, and offers scenic landscapes, culture and history and traditional cuisine. It is the ideal choice for those who want the buzz of a capital city, and when it comes to culture and sightseeing, Bratislava packs a real punch, with museums, castles, theatres and more to uncover.

The second new destination to go on sale today with Jet2CityBreaks is Malmo, meaning Christmas market breaks are now available to book for this winter to the coastal city in southern Sweden.

In response to more customers looking to explore some of the most magical destinations in Europe throughout the festive season, Christmas market getaways to Malmo have gone on sale from 29th November to 23rd December 2024 from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International Airports.

Customers booking a Christmas market trip to Malmo will fly into Copenhagen Airport. From there, they will take the direct train over the Oresund Bridge that links Denmark and Sweden, before arriving in Malmo. Two weekly services (Monday and Friday) will operate from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International Airports to Copenhagen Airport this winter.

A range of hotels, available to book now with Jet2CityBreaks, give customers the opportunity to enjoy an authentic festive experience over the Christmas season in the Swedish city.

Customers can look forward to a Christmas extravaganza in Malmo as the city’s streets are lit up with twinkling lights and draped in traditional decorations. Wooden market stalls sell everyone’s favourite seasonal treats, as well as local Swedish delicacies like warming glogg and saffron buns. Brixen/South Tyrol: An environmentally conscious destination for winter fun

The post Brixen/South Tyrol: An environmentally conscious destination for winter fun appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

Winter, skiing, snow, and sustainability: far from being contradictory, they complement each other perfectly on the Mount Plose in Brixen and its surroundings. Sustainable winter activities thrive here, thanks to key initiatives like water storage basins, photovoltaic systems, ski buses, and plastic-free zones, ensuring eco-friendly enjoyment of the season.

When the cable car starts whirring again on 5 December 2024 and the first ‘pips’ sound at the access gates, then it’s winter on the Plose, Brixen’s local mountain. Perfect pistes for skiers and snowboarders, groomed winter hiking trails for hikers and groomed toboggan runs for sledgers are available so that everyone can enjoy the winter landscape in a sporty way.

However, preparations for the start of the skiing, hiking and tobogganing season begin long before the official start of the season, as the ‘peaceful’ snow cannons are activated with the first cold temperatures to make the first snow on the pistes. Throughout the summer, the reservoir, which took two years to build in 2019, was filled with abundant water from the surrounding springs and streams. ‘By law, the water used for snow production must be of drinking water quality,’ emphasises Plose Director Alessandro Marzola, adding ’because the snow that melts in spring flows back into the natural water cycle.’ Water reservoirs are not only essential for snow production but also play a crucial role during the summer. They support alpine pasture farming and, more importantly, serve as vital sources of water for firefighting in case of wildfires.

An important part of good snow preparation and perfect piste grooming is the delicate work of the snow groomers, which in South Tyrol are more commonly known as snowcats. Every evening after the lifts and pistes close on the Plose, 7 snowcats start to make their rounds. Behind the wheel of these ultra-modern snow groomers are highly specialised drivers who transform over 40 km of slopes back into sparkling smooth surfaces within 8 hours. One of the key challenges is preparing South Tyrol’s longest slope, the renowned Trametsch, which stretches 9 kilometres with a maximum gradient of 65%. As one of the most difficult black pistes in the region, it requires special techniques. Snowcats are secured to anchors to navigate the steepest sections safely.

Many decades have passed since the first snow cannons were used and improvements in snow production and piste preparation have been introduced on the basis of the experience gained. Today, a snow cannon consumes far less electricity and water than in the past. Noise pollution has also been significantly reduced, as has the quality of the snow produced with technical aids. ‘As only drinking water and air are part of the snow, we cannot speak of artificial snow here, but of technical snow,’ emphasises Alessandro Marzola. On the Plose, they have even gone one step further and are already talking about ‘feel-good snow’.

Health, environment and skiing pleasure

Studies by the Technical University of Vienna highlight the benefits of new snowmaking technology, which not only conserves water and electricity but also improves the snow’s natural water structure by reducing electromagnetic interference. This process is believed to positively impact the immune systems of skiers and snowboarders. The feel-good snow was developed by the Austrian company ERSO Technology after years of research and has been available to guests on the Plose since last winter. Another advantage of the feel-good snow technology is the extremely environmentally friendly melting process. ‘We can report from our guests that the feel-good snow project has had an extremely positive effect on general skiing behaviour,’ Alessandro Marzola emphasises.

When it comes to sustainability, the construction of the new Plose gondola lift last year has set several trends. For example, the electricity required to operate the cable car is generated by photovoltaic systems at the valley and mountain stations. Unfortunately, what you don’t see in winter are the green roofs at the valley and mountain stations.

In order to significantly reduce individual transport from Brixen and the various fractions towards the Plose valley station in St. Andrä, there are ski buses every half hour. Guests receive a BrixenCard when they stay at one of the many partner businesses and can therefore travel comfortably to the Plose valley station by ski bus. And, of course, back to their holiday accommodation. The BrixenCard offers additional exciting benefits, including free entry to the Acquarena—perfect for unwinding after a day in the crisp winter air—and the chance to test your skills on the ice rink.

And another thing… The Plose is a plastic-free zone. This means that plastic bottles are consistently and strictly avoided in all restaurants and huts. In summer, there are several fountains along the hiking trails, which are unfortunately not available in winter, where you can fill up the stainless steel bottle specially designed for the ‘Refill your bottle’ project.

Fresh air, winter landscape and healthy exercise

Take a deep breath, breathe in the fresh winter air with all your cells, put on your windbreaker, gloves, winter hiking trousers and mountain boots and then set off through the winter landscape. On foot or with snowshoes, you can take a leisurely walk along groomed hiking trails or snow-covered forest paths towards the heights, where extensive alpine landscapes open up enchanting panoramic views and cosy huts with local specialities offer special culinary delights. What more could you want? Special excursion destinations for winter hiking fans can be found on the Villanderer Alm, on the Lüsner-Rodenecker Alm, Freienbühel, Ackerboden and Halslhütte.

Engage all your muscles, breathe in the fresh air, whether skating or classic—this is exactly what cross-country skiers experience on the numerous trails surrounding Brixen. Perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails, breathtaking winter landscapes, impressive panoramas and cosy places to stop for refreshments after your activity make every cross-country skier’s heart beat faster. A special experience is the trail to the Würzjoch in Villnöss in view of the majestic Peitlerkofel. Cross-country skiers can admire the most beautiful Dolomite peaks from afar on the Rodenecker-Lüsner and on the Villanderer Alm, where you can also find winter hikers.

Strap on your touring skis and skins, and set off with a mountain and ski guide to one of the snow-covered peaks around Brixen—perhaps the Gabler or Astjoch? The ascent takes effort, but the reward is immense: reaching the summit cross, taking in breathtaking panoramic views, and then carving your way down through deep snow. That’s true winter adventure!

Tobogganing is always fun and fast-paced, but safety comes first! Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and a helmet to fully enjoy the experience without worry. On the Plose, you can keep coming back for more on the 4 km-long RudiRun 4.0, accessible all winter via the cable car’s middle station. If snow conditions are perfect, you can extend the thrill by running the lower 5 km section of the RudiRun all the way down to the valley station. The toboggan runs in Spiluck, on the Kreuzwiesen Alm, on the Plose Rossalm-Kreuztal and in Villnöss the Gampen Alm-Zans and Geisler Alm-Ranui are a little more leisurely because the ascent is on foot, but the descent is no less exciting.

The guided snowshoe hikes accompanied by mountain guide Max are a highlight for nature enthusiasts. On Friday, 3 January 2025, and then every Wednesday from 8 January to 12 March 2025, a shuttle service will take those seeking peace and quiet, with or without snowshoeing experience, to the starting point. From this point, you’ll embark on a scenic hike facing the iconic Geisler peaks, part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, through pristine winter landscapes. The trail ascends nearly 600 meters to the Halslhütte, where a friendly stop awaits. Essential gear includes a change of clothes, warm winter attire, mountain trekking boots, anorak, hat, gloves, sun cream, sunglasses, a warm drink, and a snack for the journey. Snowshoes, poles, and any necessary emergency equipment can be reserved for a small fee upon registration if you don’t have your own.

After the Mountain Air: Relaxation, Culture, and Indulgence Await

When the cable car closes, the snowcats are in action – you can always spot the lights of the piste groomers from Brixen – and the sportswear is taken off, then it’s time for relaxation, culture and enjoyment. Or a bit more of sport after all? The days are short in winter, so there is still plenty of time to look around the Brixen old town centre. Holders of the BrixenCard can recover from their exertions on the mountain in the Acquarena in warm temperatures. If you still haven’t had enough sport, we recommend a visit to the Vertikale climbing centre, which offers bouldering as well as climbing. Discounts are available here with the BrixenCard.

And why not a little culture too? The Pharmacy Museum provides an extremely interesting insight into the history of pills, tinctures and instruments from past centuries. The history and pompous lifestyle of the prince-bishops of Brixen can be experienced in the Hofburg, the former seat of the high prelates, where emperors and kings also stopped. No less interesting is a visit to the Neustift monastery, a few kilometres north of Brixen, with its almost thousand-year-old history. Extraordinary white wines are produced in the surrounding vineyards, which you can buy as souvenirs in the monastery shop.

You wouldn’t be south of the Brenner Pass if the focus here wasn’t on enjoyment. Start the evening with an aperitivo, the famous ‘Veneziano’ or a ‘Hugo’, and then savour the delicacies of the local gastronomy. Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants, as well as some fine bistros and cosy farmhouses in the surrounding area offer something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Environmentally friendly travel even in winter

Arrive at your holiday destination relaxed and stress-free by traveling by train. Skip the long car queues and the hassle of fitting snow chains in winter conditions. The most convenient route from the north is via the scenic Brenner Pass. Once you arrive, the Brixen Card gives you unlimited access to local public transport. You can easily rent skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country equipment, as well as snowshoes and toboggans, directly at the resort.

Balance economic growth and sustainability by adopting new trends – Roland Berger’s John Low

The post Balance economic growth and sustainability by adopting new trends – Roland Berger’s John Low appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

As the travel industry continues to adapt to the rapid landscape transformation, companies are navigating a dynamic environment marked by evolving consumer preferences and technological advancements.

Offering valuable insights is John Low, Senior Partner, Managing Partner Southeast Asia at Roland Berger, where he leads the Public Services team for Southeast Asia. He has over 25 years of experience, a background in consulting that spans two decades, and over five years in the industry and public sector.

With a strong focus on public services, manufacturing, digital hubs, healthcare, and hospitality, Low has cultivated an impressive portfolio of projects that reflect his expertise. He has collaborated with clients in Asia, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, engaging in initiatives centred on digital transformation, economic and industry development, strategy development and organisational capability enhancement. His expertise also includes guiding major conglomerates through successful corporate transformation initiatives.

As a judge at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2024, Low discusses the role of digital innovation in enhancing the travel experience and improving operational efficiency, positioning Asia as a dynamic hub for both leisure and business tourism in the coming years.

Given your extensive experience in consulting for the hospitality and public services sectors, how do you see the global travel and tourism industry evolving over the next five years, particularly in Asia?

The travel and tourism industry is poised for a steady growth especially in Asia over the next 5 years. The region will experience trends that are also reflecting the global shifts. Increase intra-Asian travel:

Rise in intra-Asian tourism: More low-cost carrier routes connecting SEA, China, Japan, and Korea will lead the surge in intra-regional travel, especially for short getaways and city breaks.

Growth in middle-class travellers: The growing middle class in countries especially China, India and SEA will boost outbound tourism. They will seek new international experiences and will drive growth in regional destinations and budget-friendly travel.

Surge in domestic tourism: Many countries especially in Asia have seen a rise in domestic travel and this trend is likely to continue.

Heritage and cultural tourism will remain strong: Asia’s rich historical heritage will continue to attract global tourists to its cultural assets, traditional arts, festivals as well as its cuisine, crafts, and performing arts.

Growth of mega-events and MICE: Countries like China, Japan, and UAE are increasingly hosting large-scale international events and conferences boosting business travels. This also spurs growth in luxury accommodations and hospitality services aimed at business travellers.

Sustainable tourism: With a rising awareness of environmental impact, many countries have already focussed on promoting eco-tourism, whilst some are already incorporating more regulations on conservation, sustainability, green infrastructure, and low-impact tourism. Countries like Thailand and Indonesia are promoting green certifications for hotels, operators, and attractions.

Southeast Asia is considered a high-growth region for tourism. What do you think are the most significant opportunities and challenges facing tourism operators in this region?

SEA is becoming a hotspot for digital nomads and remote workers thanks to its favourable visa policies with Thailand and Bali leading the way. Operators can capitalise on this trend by offering long-term accommodation packages, co-working and co-living spaces, and activities tailored to remote workers seeking work-leisure balance. The global focus on health and well-being is fuelling the demand for wellness and health tourism, and SEA is becoming a major destination for wellness retreats, spa resorts, holistic health programmes to mega events like cycling, strength, and endurance competitions.

In your view, what role will digital transformation play in shaping the future of travel and hospitality? Are there any specific technologies or innovations that stand out as game-changers for the industry?

Asia is rapidly adopting digital solutions in tourism with the rise of digital bookings, contactless payments, and even AI-driven travel experiences. Countries like Singapore, Japan, and South Korea are already integrating technology into tourism from AI-powered tour guides, big data analytics on consumer trends and preferences, to VR-based destination marketing. Super apps like WeChat and Alipay are already widely accepted making travel seamless and more accessible.

Collaboration within the travel ecosystem is more important than ever. How can travel businesses, governments, and other stakeholders work together to create a more sustainable and inclusive travel environment?

For any ecosystem to work, all the stakeholders play an important role to ensure that the industry can thrive and be sustainable. First, there must be a clear and aligned vision on how to take the tourism industry forward. By this, I mean a collaborative regulation and policy-making approach. It must start with a Government-led tourism framework that sets the long-term goals for the industry. The plan must involve getting input from travel operators, businesses, and local communities to ensure alignment and sustainability needs.

The Government should also collaborate with private operators through public-private partnerships to develop large-scale tourism infrastructure projects such as airports, transport systems, and sustainable tourism zones to encourage private sector innovation in public projects. Across SEA, Governments can work together to harmonise visa policies, health protocols, and safety standards to create a seamless travel experience via policy harmonisation.

Sustainability has become a focal point in the travel industry. From your perspective, how can travel operators balance economic growth with sustainability, and what role does technology play in supporting these efforts?

Travel operators can balance both economic growth and sustainability by adopting strategies that catch onto the related new trends. These include promoting eco-tourism by offering eco-friendly tours and experiences, nature-centric adventures, and developing packages that encourage tourists to engage with nature responsibly. In addition, operators can support and partner with local communities to ensure that tourism revenues benefit the hosts. Travel operators can offer offset carbon footprint programmes where tourists can contribute to environmental projects like tree planting, and renewable energy to counterbalance the emissions generated by trips.

Yes, technology can play a significant role in supporting these efforts. Smart tourism platforms use AI, IoT, or big data to optimise the tourism experience whilst minimising environmental impact. Real-time data on tourist traffic can be used to direct tourists to less crowded attractions can help to reduce pressure on popular sites. Operators can offer hybrid tours combining both physical and virtual reality tours of sensitive environments to reduce the need for parts which are sensitive or remote. Mobile apps can be used to guide tourists to sustainable businesses, eco-friendly hotels, and activities that can help local communities. It can also educate travellers on sustainable practices like waste management, conservation, and ethical wildlife tourism. Further, data analytics can be used for Sustainable Tourism management to track tourist behaviours, environmental impact, tourist flow, risk management for over-tourism, etc.

As a judge for the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2024, what key qualities or innovations do you expect to see in the nominees?

As a judge, I would be looking at products or offerings that are innovative, usage of technology, and impact on sustainability.

Emirates builds on its long-term support for cricket at ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

The post Emirates builds on its long-term support for cricket at ICC Women’s T20 World Cup appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

At this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Emirates is helping set players up for success with its support for the 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme which aims to provide more world-class development opportunities to aspiring female leaders in the sport.

The 100% Cricket Campaign is dedicated to the promotion of women’s cricket, ever since its launch at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, with the purpose of changing perceptions, creating heroes and excitement, and supporting women in cricket

To support the Future Leaders Programme’s mission, this year, Emirates will provide exclusive fares and discounts to the current cohort taking part in the 10-month programme, enabling connections to unique learning opportunities outside of their home countries, in addition to linking them to mentors to help build the next generation of female leaders within cricket.

This year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, already in its knockout stages, is taking place in the airline’s homebase of the UAE, with matches being played in Dubai and Sharjah. The World Cup has so far delivered electrifying performances as the remaining four teams will battle it out for the highly coveted trophy. The first semi-final will be played between Australia and South Africa on Thursday, 17 October, while New Zealand and West Indies go head-to-head in the second semi-final on Friday, 18 October, with the final scheduled on Sunday, 20 October.

The airline is also engaging with fans throughout the tournament with Cabin Crew roaming around at matches taking keepsake Polaroids and handing out specially designed frames, in addition to other exciting onsite activations.

Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to cricket by extending its global partnership with the ICC earlier this year, which will see the airline support 28 ICC men’s and women’s events until 2031, including the Cricket World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy.

Already in its third decade, Emirates’ partnership with the ICC is one of the most established in world sport. The ICC partnership sees Emirates featured on the official kit of the ICC Elite and International Panels of Umpires. Alongside the Umpires, Emirates sponsors the Elite and International Panels of ICC Match Referees.

Together with branding and media exposure to cricket fans around the world, Emirates also transports umpires and referees to international events as the Global Partner of the ICC. Emirates’ branding is also highly visible at all major events including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the ICC World Test Championship Final.

Hamad International Airport receives LEED Gold Certification for ORCHARD

The post Hamad International Airport receives LEED Gold Certification for ORCHARD appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

MATAR, the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management, has achieved a significant milestone in environment sustainability by receiving the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification, for Hamad International Airport’s Central Concourse, which includes the indoor tropical garden – ORCHARD. The certification showcases the airports commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible construction practices.

LEED certification is a globally recognised symbol of sustainability achievement and one of the most widely used green building rating system. Certifications are awarded to buildings that meet rigorous environmental standards across various parameters, including energy efficiency, water usage, air quality, and material selection.

Attaining the LEED Gold certification symbolises Hamad International Airport’s dedication to integrating the highest environmental standards into its operations, ensuring long-term efficiency, cost savings, and a positive environmental impact.

The Central Concourse, where ORCHARD is located was part of Phase A of Hamad International Airport’s expansion plan and was designed to utilise 30% less energy and 55% less overall water usage. Teams from Radisson Hotel Group South Asia and CII Young Indians have collaborated to launch the Braille menu at the Group’s operational hotels in India

Radisson Hotel Group is proud to announce the launch of Braille menus across its properties in South Asia, an initiative aimed at making dining more inclusive for visually impaired guests. In partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Young Indians, this launch is part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to creating welcoming environments for all guests. It further reflects the Group’s brand promise of ‘Every Moment Matters,’ ensuring every guest can enjoy an independent dining experience.

Visually impaired guests often face difficulties in navigating traditional menus, which can create a sense of dependence or isolation during dining. By introducing Braille menus across its 125 operating hotels, Radisson Hotel Group empowers these guests to explore meal options and make their own choices with confidence, fostering greater independence. In select properties, the Group is also integrating scannable audio QR codes, allowing guests to listen to the menu at their own pace, further enhancing the dining experience. This will soon be replicated across other hotels in the Group’s operating portfolio.

“At Radisson Hotel Group, we are committed to creating spaces that are welcoming and accessible for all our guests. Introducing Braille menus is an important step toward building inclusive dining experiences, ensuring that everyone—regardless of their abilities—feels valued. Our collaboration with CII’s Young Indians reflects on our broader commitment to diversity and inclusion in everything we do.” said Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Senior Area Vice President, South Asia – Radisson Hotel Group.

Some of the early adopters under this initiative, include Radisson Blu Marina New Delhi, Radisson Blu Plaza Hyderabad, Radisson Blu Plaza Mysuru, Radisson RED Mohali, and Radisson Blu Resort Kumbhalgarh among others.

“Dining is not just about food; it’s an experience that should be available to everyone, without limitations. The introduction of Braille menus is a significant move in creating a truly inclusive environment where every guest can make their choices confidently. We believe that making small but meaningful changes like this will contribute to a more inclusive world, where everyone can enjoy equal access to experiences, no matter their abilities,” said Chef Rakesh Sethi, Corporate Executive Chef, Radisson Hotel Group South Asia

“We are proud to partner with Radisson Hotel Group in this impactful initiative. This collaboration demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusivity, and we are confident that it will inspire others in the hospitality industry to adopt similar practices. Together, we are creating an environment that truly serves the needs of all individuals, while ensuring that inclusivity becomes a standard practice, not just an initiative.” said Tarang Khurana, National Chairman, CII – Young Indians.

“This collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group highlights our commitment to building more accessible and inclusive environments. By introducing Braille menus, we are making meaningful progress toward ensuring that every individual, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy the experience of dining independently and confidently. This initiative aligns with our broader vision of promoting self-reliance and dignity for all,” said Rohit Puri, National Chair, Accessibility, CII – Young Indians

This initiative not only reflects Radisson Hotel Group’s ongoing dedication to inclusivity but also contributes to enhancing overall guest satisfaction. By empowering visually impaired guests to make independent choices and creating dining experiences that cater to diverse needs, Radisson Hotel Group is setting new standards in hospitality, further establishing itself as a leader in fostering innovation and inclusivity.

Radisson Hotel Group continues to command a leading presence in the Indian market and is one of the country’s largest international hotel operators with over 194 hotels in operation and development. It continues to be the largest hotel operator in a tier-1 market like Delhi NCR, while over 50% of its portfolio is in tier-2 and 3 markets.
