The post Odakyu Electric Railway and Klook introduce a new way to buy tickets to key Japanese destinations appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

Japanese railway firm Odakyu Electric Railway Co, Ltd and Hong Kong-based travel solutions developer Klook Travel Technology Limited present a new way by which foreign travellers can buy tickets to some of the country’s most popular destinations.

Through this collaborative effort, foreign travellers can use their smartphones to purchase train tickets to places like Hakone via the Klook website.

The new service allows travellers who previously booked digital tickets on Klook’s website to receive their digital tickets via Odakyu’s EMot Online Tickets platform. By doing so, they do not need to get in line at on-site ticketing booths.

Launching with discounts

Currently, customers can purchase the two-day and three-day Digital Hakone Freepass on the site. However, both companies advised the public that a new line of limited digital express tickets will become available by March of next year.

In line with the start of the new service, a 20 percent discount campaign starts on 1st October for travellers who purchase the Digital Hakone Freepass from Mainland China, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan via the Klook online site.

Note, however, that the discount campaign ends when the stipulated number of discounted tickets sells out.

Dusit Thani College joins HSMAI

The post Dusit Thani College joins HSMAI appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily Media.

Dusit Thani College realizes that to produce personnel for the rapid growth of the tourism and service industry, it is necessary to expand the channels of access to learning to the public. Therefore, it partners with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) to provide opportunities for those interested people who would like to find online and offline courses that suit their needs from both Dusit Thani College and HSMAI via website www.dtc.ac.th.

Recently, HSMAI has joined with Dusit Thani College and Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel to launch a special on-site course on the topics: How to create marketing content, Optimising profit from your restaurant, and Building your hotel sales strategy for 2025 on 14 and 15 October 2024 at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel.

HSMAI is an international organisation founded in the United States since 1927 and comprised of nearly 5,000 members from 35 countries around the world. It has expertise in sales, marketing, and revenue management. Therefore, there are a wide range of specialised courses from beginner to advanced levels which are designed and developed by real industry experts and cover the stimulating sales, marketing, and increasing income skill.

It is well known that one of the main incomes of Thailand, including most countries of the world, is from the tourism industry. In Thailand, it was found that the Thai tourism sector has continued to recover since 2023. There are over 28.2 million foreign tourists and over 249 million Thai tourists that can generate approximately 2.17 trillion baht of income and on the hotel business itself, it was found that it is likely to grow more during 2024-2026 and it is expected that the number of foreign tourists will return to a similar level to the pre-COVID-19 period in 2025. From such growth, the tourism industry still needs a lot of personnel and labor. The challenge is how to recruit people with sufficient skills and knowledge to join the workforce. This mission therefore falls on educational institutions that must quickly produce quality personnel to support this demand.

With more than 30 years of experience in hospitality and culinary arts education, Dusit Thani College is the leader in equipping students with the knowledge, creativity and real-world skills to enter and excel in the hospitality industry. It has developed teaching and learning until now offering a 4-year bachelor’s degree program in Thai and international programs covering hospitality management and culinary arts.
