Recently, HSMAI has joined with Dusit Thani College and Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel to launch a special on-site course on the topics: How to create marketing content, Optimising profit from your restaurant, and Building your hotel sales strategy for 2025 on 14 and 15 October 2024 at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel.
HSMAI is an international organisation founded in the United States since 1927 and comprised of nearly 5,000 members from 35 countries around the world. It is well known that one of the main incomes of Thailand, including most countries of the world, is from the tourism industry. In Thailand, it was found that the Thai tourism sector has continued to recover since 2023. There are over 28.2 million foreign tourists and over 249 million Thai tourists that can generate approximately 2.17 trillion baht of income and on the hotel business itself, it was found that it is likely to grow more during 2024-2026 and it is expected that the number of foreign tourists will return to a similar level to the pre-COVID-19 period in 2025. From such growth, the tourism industry still needs a lot of personnel and labor. The challenge is how to recruit people with sufficient skills and knowledge to join the workforce. This mission therefore falls on educational institutions that must quickly produce quality personnel to support this demand.
With more than 30 years of experience in hospitality and culinary arts education, Dusit Thani College is the leader in equipping students with the knowledge, creativity and real-world skills to enter and excel in the hospitality industry. It has developed teaching and learning until now offering a 4-year bachelor’s degree program in Thai and international programs covering hospitality management and culinary arts. It also offers a master’s degree program in Business Administration as well as several professional courses, from a few days’ courses to a 6-month program for the public that combines skills development and internship programs.
