Emirates marked a significant year in 2025, celebrating its 40th anniversary and achieving numerous milestones. The airline transported 556 million passengers, circled the globe 29,290 times on nearly 180,580 flights, and placed orders for 73 new aircraft. The introduction of the Emirates A350, which began commercial service in January, expanded the airline’s network to 18 cities, with plans to reach Montreal by February 2026.
The airline also strengthened its presence in Asia, launching new routes to Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Danang, and Siem Reap. Emirates’ commitment to enhancing passenger experience was evident with the rollout of Starlink WiFi across its fleet, aiming to equip 123 aircraft with high-speed connectivity by the end of 2026.
In sports sponsorship, Emirates secured nine major deals, including a seven-year partnership with FC Bayern Munich and a historic contract extension with World Rugby through 2035. The airline also launched Emirates Courier Express, offering faster cross-border delivery services.
Emirates Skywards celebrated its 25th anniversary, boasting 37 million members globally. The airline’s CSR initiative, Aircrafted KIDS, distributed over 3,700 backpacks to underprivileged children across eight countries. Additionally, Emirates became the world’s first Autism Certified Airline, introducing various accessibility features and programmes.
The airline’s commitment to luxury and service excellence continued with the opening of its Centre of Hospitality Excellence in Dubai and the introduction of new onboard amenities. Emirates concluded the year with 25 accolades, including Best Airline in the World for the eighth consecutive year at the ULTRAs.
