The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) announced that Director of Membership and Industry Affairs, Richard Taylor, will depart the organisation at the end of February. During his time at ATIA, Richard has played an important role in strengthening the association’s communication with members and the wider industry. His work has supported more consistent, open and responsive engagement across a period of significant organisational change.
He has also contributed to the growth and evolution of ATIA’s event and engagement program, including initiatives such as Beyond Borders, Beyond Borders On the Road and the NTIA Finalists’ celebration to connect and showcase the industry’s high achievers has helped deepen industry connection. These efforts have coincided with a period in which ATIA’s flagship events have become essential opportunities for industry insight, networking and discussion.
Following his departure, Richard will begin a new venture focused on connecting people and businesses across the travel industry, while continuing to collaborate with ATIA on selected industry initiatives and emcee key events. He remains open to conversations about broader opportunities where his skills and experience can support the sector.
