TASMANIA’S borders will remain closed to all jurisdictions until at least 31 Aug, according to an update from the state’s Premier Peter Gutwein yesterday.
The Apple Isle was set to open to travellers from South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory this Fri 07 Aug, but Gutwein cited health advice, the uncertainty in Vic and the impacts of COVID-19 on other states for the change of heart.
Plans to open up Tasmania to other parts of the country including Qld, ACT, NSW and Vic effective from 14 Aug have also been kyboshed.
