TD breaking news – Entire Travel Group to merge with CIT Holidays

Italy specialist to join combined portfolio.

Entire Travel Group has announced it will merge with CIT Holidays, bringing new product across Italy, Switzerland, Canada and Alaska to its stable of wholesale brands.

The move will see all brands operate under the Entire Travel Group umbrella from 01 Jul, with the group’s managing director Brad McDonnell to take on the new role of chief executive officer.

Entire’s portfolio launched in 1991 with French Travel Connection and has since expanded to include Tahiti Travel Connection, Spain & Portugal Travel Connection, New Caledonia Travel Connection and Barge Travel Connection.

CIT has been an Italian specialist since it was established in 1971. It was acquired by Adventure World founder Peter Newsom and the Alpin Group in 2015 and expanded its focus to include Switzerland before last year acquiring Canada & Alaska Specialist Holidays.

Under the merger, Newsom will continue to take an active role as a member of the company’s board, with operations to be consolidated within Entire’s offices in North Sydney.

“Combining our respective knowledge, expertise and experience will allow us to offer our travel agency partners access to an unparalleled range of European products and services, along with the support of an expanded team of dedicated specialist consultants for each destination,” McDonnell said.
