TD breaking news – Gai Tyrrell to take the helm at Globus

New managing director named to replace Stewart Williams.

Globus has announced the appointment of former Hawaiian Airlines executive Gai Tyrrell as its managing director for Australasia.

She replaces long-serving head Stewart Williams who departed earlier this year (TD 08 Feb) and will commence in the middle of next month.

“We are thrilled to welcome Gai Tyrrell to the Globus family of brands, to lead our Australasia team,” said Globus family of brands president and ceo Scott Nisbet.

“She brings with her an incredible breadth of experience and a deep appreciation for the importance of our travel agency partners, which she rightly views as a top priority,” he said.

Tyrrell announced her resignation as regional director for Hawaiian Airlines last week (TD Fri) and has previously served as vice president and ceo of Sabre Pacific.
