TD breaking news – TTC sells Creative Cruising to ETG owners

Cruise specialist wholesaler to continue as standalone business.

The Travel Corporation has just confirmed the sale of Creative Cruising to the owners of Express Travel Group. The agreement has been signed this week and becomes effective next Tuesday 19 December 2017.

Creative Cruising offers packages from more than 40 cruise lines bundled with air and land, and will “continue to be a standalone business servicing travel agent businesses of all sizes and channels across Australia”.

The existing team will transition to the new owners along with the business, with Express Travel Group ceo Tom Manwaring hailing Creative Cruising’s “great team of people, industry best service delivery, great product development and innovation together with far-reaching B2B distribution across the industry”. Manwaring said the increasing scale of cruise sales further supports the “significant investment” being made with the purchase.

Creative Cruising gm Peter Forsyth said the change was exciting, and he looked forward to working with the new owners. “Just to assure our customers, it’s business as usual and we’ll continue to focus on their requirements,” he said.

Creative Cruising’s office will remain at its existing location in Sydney and all bookings, existing and new will continue as normal with the same phone number, email contacts and website.
