TD breaking news – Webjet becomes AFTA member and ATAS accredited

Listed online travel agency Webjet joins Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA).

AFTA has this morning confirmed the ATAS accreditation of ASX-listed Webjet Limited, which is now also a member of the Federation.

The move was welcomed by AFTA CEO Darren Rudd, who said “as a significant local and global player, Webjet is an important addition to the AFTA and ATAS community”.

He said having Webjet as part of AFTA at this time was particularly significant given the importance of industry unity and having a combined voice.

Webjet Group Chief Commercial Officer Shelley Beasley said “Webjet is delighted to be joining AFTA at such a critical time for our industry and are keen to play a role in addressing the major issues that exist in the rapidly evolving travel landscape”.
