ANIMALS love being on the loose in airports, so it was no surprise that an exotic monitor lizard was captured at London Heathrow this week.
Authorities said the animal was found wandering freely in the baggage sorting area.
It is believed that the animal was placed inside an individual’s luggage in an attempt to bring it into the United Kingdom.
The Bengal monitor lizard is believed to be a juvenile as the adults can grow up to 2 metres.
